Dear #Run4BibleRands friends ! This month I am sharing with you the story of the little girl who have found the cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared, she sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. At some point it appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther. Then the girl decided to help the butterfly, took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But something was wrong. It had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The girl  continued to watch the butterfly because she expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly. What this kid did in her kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were in fact nature’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its shriveled wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon. Friends, right now I am going through some difficult times in various areas of my own personal life, but I realized that sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would probably cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been and we could then never fly. The Bibles we selflessly share with strangers each month through our running, might just be the tool someone somewhere needs to break out of his or her own trouble cocoon. Keep up the great work !

Meet Paul… Paul‘s dominant characteristic must have been courage, both intellectual and physical, since he never hesitated to stand up for his beliefs, no matter who or what opposed him. It is because of his dedication that Christianity found a foothold in the ancient world and eventually grow into a religion that changed the world. Did you know… ? Paul never met Jesus face to face, but he believed he had seen Jesus in a vision, so this means he knew his Savior at a deeper, truer level.
